Final i2-Health Workshop (Part 2): Presentation of the Interoperability Initiative for a European eHealth Area at MEDTEL 2006
The International Conference MEDTEL 2006 eHealth Promotion was held on December 7th – 8th, 2006 in Prague, Czech Republic. This was the fourth bi-annual conference focusing on healthcare telematics held in Prague. The i2-Health project contibuted to this conference by a presentation to the opening plenary titled "eHealth Interoperability in Europe” and an i2-health Workshop to disseminate the results of the "Interoperability Initiative for a European eHealth Area" to the audience from all European member states present at this conference.
The Conference was organized by EHTEL member MEDTEL (www.medtel.cz) and
was opened by Member of European Parliament Dr. Milan Cabrnoch.
The i2-Health project contributed to the opening session with the presentation "eHealth Interoperability in Europe" (Stephan Schug, EHTEL) providing both an overview on the field as well as giving an introduction to the "Interoperability Initiative for a European eHealth Area" and hence an invitiation to the in-depth workshop with the projects results scheduled for the afternoon of the same conference day.
i2-health workshop at MEDTEL 2006 programme and presentations :

- "ePrescribing & Medication Management, Improving, patient safety and healthcare efficiency by implementing interoperable, ePrescribing services across Europe and worldwide (Presentation of WP4 of the i2-Health project ) by Stephan H. Schug, EHTEL, Brussels (i2-Health project partner).
